For some people they want to be as fashionable as possible when leaving the house but you should make functionality equally important. Do not overdress and at the same time do not go out looking like you just came out of bed. The apparel should not bind you that much and at the same time act as an inhibitor to movement especially if you will be walking a lot. Dress appropriately for the people you are going to meet at your destination, if you are on official business you need to dress appropriately and if you are headed to the hotel to relax you can be casual.
